Ashen Watch is a survival game about defending the kingdom’s last keep. You control the guardian protecting Princess Elira during an endless siege, and you survive as many waves as you can. Eight enemy types and powerful bosses keep the fighting varied.
What gives Ashen Watch its replay value is the roguelike structure. Between waves you pick a new perk, for example arrow volleys, chain lightning, a flaming blade or a dodge roll, so each attempt grows into a different build. Coins from fights buy permanent upgrades and armor skins. Because the guardian hits nearby foes on its own, you focus on where to stand and when to trigger abilities, which also works nicely on a touch screen.
Perk choices are what make runs different, so it pays to think about how each new ability fits the ones you already have. Players who pair a defensive option like the dodge roll with damage perks tend to last longer. Permanent upgrades and skins give long-term goals beyond a single run.
How to play Ashen Watch
Move with WASD or the arrow keys, or hold the mouse button to move in that direction. On mobile, drag on the screen. The guardian attacks nearby enemies automatically. Use Space for Storm Strike and Q for Flaming Blade after unlocking those perks.
