Spellbound Orbs is a bubble shooter in a wizard's castle. You fire colored orbs, pop groups of three or more and watch the ones hanging below drop away. You only have a limited number of shots, so careful aiming and clever wall bounces matter when you need to reach an awkward corner.
There are 1000 levels, and some set special aims, such as rescuing fairies or a dragon, or gathering dragon eggs. When a board gets tough, booster spells like Color Pop, which wipes one color, can rescue you. Aiming is easy: press and drag, or hold the mouse button, then let go to shoot, so it suits both phones and desktops. It is a familiar formula with an appealing magical coat of paint.
With so many levels, the game rewards players who learn the geometry of wall bounces, since many boards can only be cleared by an angled shot. Boosters such as Color Pop are best saved for boards with limited shots. The magical castle theme gives the familiar formula a pleasant look.
