Our take on Underwater 2D
Reviewed by the LetsPlayFree editors ·
Underwater 2D is a browser adventure set deep in an eerie alien ocean. Each dive has a simple task: collect the required fish. The twist is that your oxygen tank is always running down, so you need to find refill zones before you run out of air.
Dangerous fish and weed-like plants drift through the same currents, which means you cannot just race for the fish; you have to read the water and keep a safe path. Movement uses WASD, and Space or a left click casts the hook. It is a good game for players who like tense resource-management in a simple package, and the dark mood makes each dive feel a little risky.
Every dive is a small planning problem: fish to collect, oxygen to manage and hazards to avoid. Locating a refill zone before swimming far from it is the key habit. The dark alien ocean gives the game a tense mood without requiring complicated controls.
How to play Underwater 2D
Move with W, A, S and D. Use Space or the left mouse button to throw the hook. Collect the required fish, watch your oxygen and swim to the refill zones before the tank is empty.
