Yolk Ops is a first-person arena shooter in which the combatants are eggs. There are eight 3D maps and three modes, Free for All, Team Scramble and King of the Yolk, all played against computer bots. The number of bots changes from match to match, so games do not feel identical.

You get seven primary weapons and a sidearm, plus grenades and arena pickups, and the aim is to land the most eliminations. Controls are what you would expect from a console or PC shooter, with right-click to aim down sights, sprint and reload, and it supports desktop, gamepad and touch. The game is single-player only, which means you can jump straight into a match without waiting for opponents. It is a light-hearted take on shooters that is easy to pick up.

Playing against bots means you can jump into a match without waiting, and the three modes change the objective enough to feel different. Learning each map's weapon pickups improves your results quickly. Gamepad and touch support make it flexible.

How to play Yolk Ops Egg Arena

Move with WASD or the arrow keys and look with the mouse. Left-click fires, right-click aims, Space jumps, Shift sprints, R reloads and G throws a grenade. Press 1 or 2 to select primary weapon or sidearm, E or the mouse wheel to switch weapons and hold Tab for the scoreboard.
